We have selected 8 companies with their innovative products for the shortlist. They will deliver their pitch/presentation in front of the jury on the upcoming Monday, 12 May. Here’s a short scoop of what each of the company does. I have uploaded a bunch of screenshots in our Flickr account: here is the Screenshot Collection. You are invited to have your say as well. 1. Mobafone Indonesia: 12Frenz (www.12frenz.com) 12frenz is a mobile community services, a combination of web/WAP and Java application. Developed and released in Indonesia in 2008 by Mobafone. The Java application includes IM chat, chat rooms, access to the WAP/Web community and single click upload for video, pics and voice. The application can be downloaded gratis by sending an SMS to 3151, with “fmc” (no quotes) in the content (valid in Indonesia only, ya... I suppose the SMS is also free).   2. i-Moov: ZipZap (www.getzipzap.com) ZipZap is a mobile community tools. ZipZap has a social network service called Friendzip. Available as Java application for mobile phones, Friendzip offers a number of social networking functions, e.g. friends list, messaging and calling features, and photo uploading. ZipZap is also planning for an integration with Friendster.   3. PT MORE Indonesia (www.more.co.id) MORE is a point reward alliance that enables customer to gain, convert, transfer, or spend point rewards through mobile phone. MORE develops a Symbian/Java application for accessing its catalogue, however SMS access is also available.   4. Pentamedia: InGO - Indonesia on the Go (www.pentamedia.net) InGo is a news/content aggregator application, which adopts the content’s format into a mobile-friendly format. InGO enables an efficient data transmission, suitable for Indonesia’s mobile Internet connection. The system generates categorized listing of the content to ease browsing and reading, and also enables advertisment content.   5. Virtual Tribe (wap.vitribe.com) Virtual Tribe is a GPS-Based Multiplayer Online Mobile Text Game and officially categorized as Multiplayer Trans Reality Game. The Gameplay is about land acquisition, where every player can manage his own tribe that grows bigger on every game update and capture other player’s land by destroying their tribe. The game promises a Mobile Location-Aware gaming experience where Real-Coordinates of Earth is the game board, Real-Time of the World is the game time, Real Human is the game player.   6. EMPATIX Indonesia (www.empatix.co.id) Empatix is a framework for creating efficient processes with the aid of a Web interface. Through Web interface, access from mobile phones is possible. Empatix software consists of modules which can be combined based on needs. Today we have about 40 modules, for Order, Warehouse Management, Project Management, Invoicing, Customer Base, Product Base, Accounting, Timekeeping, Salary, CRM, eCommerce, CMS etc.  7. Falcon Interactive: Lipstik TV Lipstik TV delivers videos of infotainment right to mobile phones. A choice of programs are available for download. Chat room is also offered as a feature.   8. Merak Indocipta Kreasi: Islamic Application Suite They developed a set of Islamic application suite for mobile phones: Quran Mobile, Tasbih Mobile, Adzan Reminder, and Shalat/Qibla Direction . Quran Mobile, for example, provides the whole Al Qur-an along with its translation in Indonesia and English. Recitation is possible, through real-time voice streaming from their server.
